If you read my slow spring morning routine, you know how much I’ve been leaning into slower, more intentional mornings lately—especially when it comes to my coffee.
As the season shifts, I naturally start craving something a little lighter than my usual winter lattes. I still want that same cozy ritual, but with a fresher, brighter feel that matches the longer days, warmer mornings, and everything starting to come back to life outside.
Lately, my coffee has become less about just getting through the morning and more about enjoying it—it reminds me of those quiet moments in the coffee shop before we opened, when everything felt calm, still, and unhurried. Now, at home, it looks like standing at the counter while my espresso pours, trying new flavors, and taking a few extra minutes to actually sit down with it before the day begins.
If you’re looking for easy spring coffee drinks to make at home, these are the ones I’ve been making on repeat—simple, seasonal, and easy to recreate at home.
☕ My Go-To Spring Coffee Base
Most mornings, I’m using my Breville Bambino Plus to pull a shot and build from there—usually over ice with milk. When I am in a rush, these same drinks can be made with a Nespresso.

Keeping the base simple makes it easy to switch things up depending on my mood. Some days I want something floral, other days something slightly sweet, and sometimes I just keep it classic.
It’s less about having a complicated recipe and more about creating a routine that feels easy to come back to.
Recipes: spring coffee drinks
🌿 1. Honey Lavender Iced Latte
This has been my go-to when I want something that feels a little more elevated but still easy to make.
There’s something about lavender in the spring that just makes sense—it feels soft, seasonal, and just a little special without being over the top.
How I make it:
- 1 Shot Espresso
- Ice
- Milk of Choice
- 1 tsp Honey
- ½ tsp Lavender Syrup
👉 Start light with lavender—it can get strong quickly
🍓 2. Strawberry Cold Foam Iced Coffee

This one feels like a coffee shop order—but it’s surprisingly simple to recreate at home.
I’ve been loving anything with cold foam lately, and adding a strawberry version makes it feel fun and seasonal. The soft pink layer on top doesn’t hurt either.
How I make it:
- Iced Coffee or Cold Brew
- Splash of Milk
- Cold Foam (Milk + Strawberry Syrup Frothed Together)
🍊 3. Orange Vanilla Iced Latte
This was one of those drinks I wasn’t sure about at first—and now I can’t stop making it.
The orange and vanilla together give it a subtle “creamsicle” flavor that feels fresh and different from anything I was drinking in the winter.
How I make it:
- 1 Shot Espresso
- Ice
- Milk
- Splash of Vanilla
- Small Amount of Orange Extract or Fresh Zest
🍵 4. Strawberry Matcha Latte
On days when I don’t feel like coffee but still want something fun, this has been my go-to.
It feels a little more like a treat, but still fits into my morning in a way that feels balanced and easy.

How I make it:
- Strawberry Milk (Milk + Strawberry Puree)
- Ice
- Matcha Whisked with Water
👉 Pour slowly to keep the layers—it’s worth it
🍦 5. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
This is one of those drinks I always come back to.
It’s simple, consistent, and feels like something you’d order out—but made at home. On mornings when I don’t want to think too much, this is usually what I make.
How I make it:
- Cold Brew Coffee
- Splash of Vanilla Syrup
- Sweet Cream (Milk + Cream + Vanilla)
☕ Small Ways I Refresh My Coffee Routine for Spring

Beyond the drinks themselves, I’ve been making a few small changes that help my routine feel more aligned with the season. This has started to feel really similar to how I approach my mornings in general, which I shared more in my cozy day in my life routine.
Here are some fun ways I have changed up my routine- reaching for glass cups instead of heavier mugs, using lighter flavors like honey and vanilla, and actually taking the time to sit and enjoy my coffee instead of immediately moving on to the next thing.
I am starting to experiment more with flavors at home—which has been a fun way to keep things interesting without overcomplicating my routine.
I’ve also been paying more attention to the quality of my beans, which can make a big difference in how your coffee turns out. Lately, I’ve also been paying more attention to the quality of my beans, which has made such a difference in how my coffee turns out. Living in Rhode Island, we’re lucky to have some really great local roasters, and I’ve been trying to support them whenever I can.
One I’ve been especially loving lately is Borealis Coffee Roasters—their coffee is really smooth and easy to drink, which makes it perfect for everyday lattes at home. It’s one of those small upgrades that makes my morning routine feel a little more special.
👉 I’ll be sharing a full post soon on how I make my own simple flavored syrups at home (including vanilla, lavender, and a few seasonal options), which has made these drinks even easier and more customizable.
